Can you believe it is almost the end of March? The entire family has been sick these past couple of days — thanks to some orange juice, plenty of kleenex, and mucinex we are slowly coming around and can talk/breathe. In the spirit of Easter and Good Friday, I wanted to focus on fabulous finds related to this glorious holiday.
1 – Chocolate Cross – I really don’t go all out for Easter for in my family it is more than the bunny it is part of our faith. These aren’t new finds but I was happy to see the Dollar Tree here carried them so I snagged them up last week to partner with a special item.
2 – Ressurrection Eggs – I heard about these eggs and saw a handmade version a few years ago, but I didn’t think my oldest was ready. Ironically I didn’t purchase this set for I want to look into making our own family collection next Easter. You can learn more about them here.
3 – Spring Lilly and Tulips – Flowers are the best symbols of spring — bring life to the ground. These are at our local Aldi’s for $3.99.
4 – Speckled Egg Cake – During my research for a recipe I saw this cake and was in aww… I’m really not a baker but don’t mind make easy things like cookies or basic cakes so I won’t even attempt to make this. If you are a reader and try it out please let me know. The Cake Blog has quite a few gorgeous cakes that come with tutorials so check out the site.
5 – Random Bunnies – Me and the girls spotted these little bunnies while waiting at a red light.. I’m unsure what store they were at BUT if you live in Lexington it’s on Limestone across from the courthouse.
I hope everyone has a joyous Easter season and a glorious Good Friday!
